ENERGOTRAIN aims to attract high number of stakeholders from construction sector

Regional Innovation Management Center initiated and is currently coordinating the BUILD UP Skills ENERGOTRAIN initiative in Lithuania towards better preparation of Lithuania’s builders and installers related to building of close to zero energy buildings, especially in the areas of window and door installation, rendered facade insulation installation, ventilated facade insulation installation, flat roof installation, pitched roofing, heating systems installation, ventilation systems installation, low-voltage electrical equipment installation, installation of solutions related to renewable energy resources.

The initiative will result in establishment of a voluntary system for development and recognition of professional competences and skills of the building workforce in Lithuania in relation to requirements for nearly zero energy buildings. A number of market players from construction sector will be involved as third parties in the initiative to ensure market needs are fully reflected while developing a system.

The initiative will also contribute to the maintenance of the qualifications’ platform initiated during BUILD UP Skills Lithuania project.

Partners of industry wide initiative include Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Certification Center of Building Products, Lithuanian Builders Association, National Association of Passive House, Centre of Training for Energy Specialists, Vilnius Jeruzales Labour Market Training Center, Vilnius Builders Training Center.
