Regional Innovation Management Centre has been awarded a contract to initiate and undertake training of vocational trainers in Lithuanian construction sector thereby strengthening their technological competencies. Technological competence is understood as the ability of a vocational trainer to perform a certain technological process. Technological competence includes knowledge of the technological process, the ability to perform technological operations, the ability to work with various materials and technological equipment. The on the job training will take place either in production plant, construction site or a sectoral practical training center. More than 100 trainers will be trained by the end of 2019. Training will cover the areas of BIM, energy efficiency, building plastering, finishing tiles, surface preparation, painting and upholstery gluing, gypsum cardboard and other finishing boards, masonry, restoration of buildings, elevation and work in height, and excavation works.
